Council Districts 13, 16, 28 and 30 Candidate Meet & Greet

  • TIRRC 3310 Ezell Road Nashville, TN, 37211 United States (map)

Join us for a discussion about educational equity with our city’s future leaders!

MNPS parents, teachers and community members are invited to a casual Meet & Greet with candidates from Metro Council Districts 13, 16, 28 and 30 on Friday, July 14 from 6-7:30 pm at the Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC).

About our series of Candidate Meet & Greet events:

Public education is our city’s largest annual expenditure, and the Metro Council is responsible for reviewing and approving Nashville’s operating budget each year. It’s important for voters to know how each Council candidate will prioritize public education.

Leading up to the Metro General Election this August, Opportunity Nashville is holding nine Council Candidate Meet and Greet events — one in each School Board District. This event is being held in School Board District 7.

At each event, the candidates will have an opportunity to introduce themselves to the crowd and then attendees can mingle with candidates to learn more about their candidacy.
