Join us for a discussion about educational equity with our city’s future leaders!
MNPS parents, teachers and community members are invited to a casual Meet & Greet with candidates from Metro Council Districts 4, 26, 27 and 31 on Wednesday, June 28 from 6-7:30pm at the Edmondson Branch Library.
About our series of Candidate Meet & Greet events:
Public education is our city’s largest annual expenditure, and the Metro Council is responsible for reviewing and approving Nashville’s operating budget each year. It’s important for voters to know how each Council candidate will prioritize public education.
Leading up to the Metro General Election this August, Opportunity Nashville is holding nine Council Candidate Meet and Greet events — one in each School Board District. This event is being held in School Board District 2.
At each event, the candidates will have an opportunity to introduce themselves to the crowd and then attendees can mingle with candidates to learn more about their candidacy.
